StarFabric uses EIA-644 [LVDS] as the electrical specification. Providing 622Mbps in one direction, or 1.25Gbps Bi-Directional speed (per pair), using 8B/10B encoding. WebbThe flexibility of the system is a virtue of the underlying packet switching technology, where data is automatically and transparently routed through a fabric network of switches to it's destination. StarLink is based on StarFabric technology from Stargen Inc. StarFabric is a high-speed serial, switched-fabric technology.
