Circular fringe projection profilometry

WebJun 1, 2024 · Abstract Since Fringe Projection Profilometry (FPP) is an intensity-based coding strategy, it is prone to improper optical setup arrangement, surface texture and reflectance, uneven illumination distribution, among others. These conditions introduce errors in phase retrieval which lead to an inaccurate 3-D reconstruction. WebPhase demodulation is an essential image processing stage required by digital fringe projection profilometers. Currently, several approaches for phase demodulation have been proposed. In this work, a set of phase demodulation methods useful for digital fringe projection profilometry is presented.

WebSep 21, 2014 · Abstract Industrial metrology and inspection systems commonly rely on phase measurement profilometry (PMP) using sinusoidal fringe patterns projecting, yielding dense, and accurate 3D reconstruction regardless of the presence of texture. WebSep 6, 2024 · Circular fringe projection profilometry (CFPP) is a special kind of FPP with telecentric lenses [35–37]. The specialty lies in that CFPP recovers the 3D profile based on the triangulation formed between the optical axis and the projected light rays of a projector.
